“Today, I am committing to my physical well-being”
This mantra is my “go to” these days. Largely, because this last year has been challenging when it comes to my health. I am a huge advocate of life balance and harmony, so tending to my mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being is of utmost importance to me.
Unfortunately, the reason I am a huge advocate of life balance and harmony is because I tend to get out of balance. This last year, my body has been doing a lot of talking. It has been speaking to me with the recurrent colds/flus I had over the winter, and back, hip and knee pain.
I lose balance over extending my limits with my business; working too hard, too long, too few breaks and pushing my body beyond its limits with intense exercise.
I recently found out that I most likely have arthritis in my knees which has been causing me so much pain. I was told that I was not a professional athlete, so I should stop “training like an Olympian” as it was damaging my body. I hold a lot of tension and tightness in my body, especially my lower body which probably contributed to the arthritis. Can you tell I still have a lot to learn about the Law of Allowing ; the principle of least action and no resistance?
I know there are people out there that are experiencing much more serious and debilitating illnesses, so I consider myself to be very blessed regarding my health. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. And, in my early 20s I weighed in at 230 lbs; had high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a near death experience. But, this is also around the time I discovered the Law of Attraction . And, as I began this spiritual journey, I began to release weight slowly, but surely.
In my early 30s, I learned that I had 2 medical conditions that predispose me to being overweight and to obesity. Yet, this is when I released most of my weight; 47 lbs in 9 months. The external shift was largely related to my internal shift after doing inner work for 10 years.
Robert Holden, Happiness Expert and author of Be Happy states that well-being requires harmony between physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being He likens each component to 4 wheels on a car. If one tire is flat you are not going anywhere!
I think this is something most of you you can relate to as well. Maybe, you would benefit from committing to your physical well-being. If so, take some time to tune into your body by taking these steps:
When it comes to creating the body we want just like anything else, we must co-create by aligning our physical being with our non-physical being; our soul, spirit, higher self or whatever that is for you. The physical and the non-physical must create in unison, and the primary focus remains on energy alignment. Aligning your energy requires thinking and feeling in ways that support your desire for the body you want. Quantum Physics has demonstrated that 1 hr of energy work is equal to 7 hrs of action.
In other words, the most important focus is not the distance between ill ease or disease to complete well-being. It is really about applying the Law of Deliberate Creation and deliberately achieving an emotional state. Rather, than focusing on the pain, on what you can’t do and feeling discouraged, fearful or doubtful about your health, focus on what you can do and practice the feeling of optimism, eager anticipation and trust in a return to health. Make the improved feeling your destination. An improved feeling is a release of resistance or those thoughts and feelings that do not support your vision of health. When you release resistance you increase your allowance meter; allowing in more abundant health and well-being.
