I like you, have experienced my greatest growth through my most painful and challenging times. I have graduated from the “School of Hard Knocks”. At times, it seems with a PHD. But, then I meet someone who has suffered much more than I and I think, maybe not.
All of the pain and suffering has had meaning. When we are able to make meaning out of our darkest times, we are more capable of tolerating our distress. Then we can accept and allow for our distress and the situation.
Victor Frankl speaks to this in his book “Man’s Search for meaning”. He wrote about his experience surviving Nazi concentration camps (PHD for sure). The basic premise of the book is that people need to find or create meaning in their lives to survive terrible suffering.
Finding meaning when we are experiencing Contrast ; those things we do not like, want or prefer to happen, is not easy. I find that these questions help me to get to a place of allowing and detachment when I am facing trying times:
When we can find meaning in our suffering, we are more likely to appreciate contrast. When we are able to embrace the contrast in our lives, we are activating the Law of Sufficiency and Abundance. This Law is powerful because practicing this Law puts all the other Universal Laws into action.

It is not possible to avoid all contrast in our lives. We don’t want to either because contrast gives birth to new desires. Contrast leads us to clarity.
However, what if we didn’t have to suffer and struggle in order to grow and succeed. I mean, I do not want to dis Einstein. He was a genius and I agree with many of his philosophies. But, what if we could achieve greatness in joy? What if we could grow in joy?
I am “over” growing through pain. Even though I know it is still going to happen, I intend to succeed in joy more. Working with the Universal Laws is all about attracting what you want by feeling good.
